We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in the Los Angeles area (this is a FULLY REMOTE role with 1x week in-office Santa Monica, only if you’re local) to support its production and development environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and support Production and staging environments on CentOS Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP using Ansible or comparable configuration management technology. Currently running LAMP stack and migrating to Node.JS, Vue.JS, and Google cloud.

• Build and maintain robust monitoring and backup solutions.

• Implement new monitoring and scaling solutions for mission-critical services.

• Support Engineering teams for upcoming integrations and production releases.

• Perform routine updates, security audits, and vulnerability scanning

• Respond, triage, and escalate security related events per policy

• Ensure compliance with company policies and security industry standards

Requirements

• Deep experience in a similar role with at least a year of on-call experience

• Strong hand-on Linux shell experience with installing, configuring, creating and maintaining Linux-based / LAMP-stack systems in both staging and high-volume production environments with appropriate security and quality controls (such as mature change management)

• Capable at systems, network, and database SQL layers.

• Hands-on experience with heterogeneous environments.

• Experience in a small setup with end-to-end ownership is a critical trait in this role.

• Experience automation of routine activities (Ansible experience preferred)

• Strong shell scripting and automation experience.

• Experience planning, designing, implementing, securing, and monitoring scalable infrastructure for web applications

• Strong understanding of IT Security best practices.

• Experience with securing production infrastructure.

• Strong Google Cloud experience.

Skills

• Experience setting up automated/scripted ephemeral cloud environments.

• Experience in Terraform and/or Cloudformation.

• Docker/Kubernetes container experience.

• Experience with complex migrations.

• CCSP, Security+, or similar security credential.

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure.
