Dreamore was previously Apex Direct Search, the first search firm in Los Angeles to focus solely on startups at the beginning of the dot com era.

We’ve always been community builders, sharing our homes/physical locations with the local startup and business community to deepen our relationships, build better business, and have fun doing it!

Apex was #53 on the Forbes’ list of America’s Best Professional Recruiting Firms, along with many other accolades for the firm and founder Annemarie Penny over the years.

Dreamore became the new name after the Woolsey fire took our Malibu Dream House location in 2018.   The Malibu Dream house was a very special place for business, art, and celebration - plus it was our home. 

Dreamore reflects our appreciation for the values seen typically in startup culture: optimism, resilience, innovation, and collaboration. Dreamore is a belief in what’s possible beyond ourselves.  It’s not fear more!
