Business Development Director

Our client is a mission driven, female/diversity led, profitable and growing home healthcare agency based in Los Angeles, CA.

We are looking for a business development director or senior account executive to lead continued growth in the southern California region.

The ideal candidate has an empathetic personality and a solid track record of success in healthcare or medical sales.

This person will be the heart-led “face of the company” along with high visibility and influence within the organization.

Primarily a “farmer”, nurturing inbound leads from referral sources, but must be a “hunter” too, attending conferences, networking, and leveraging other industry resources.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up promptly with all inbound leads, setting up in-person meetings with family members, patients, or service providers to consult and close for 24/7 or part-time home health care services
• Quickly build trust and confidence with prospective clients in order to close contracts and initiate high quality home healthcare services
• Establish and maintain contact with referral sources, including hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners and other professionals in related home care business sectors
• Attend networking events, community events and other appropriate gatherings where you can build and expand the network of prospective referral providers
• Act on expert guidance from founder/CEO as well as taking initiative to build new sales pipelines and trusted referral sources

Key Outcomes
• You meet or exceed your revenue goals each quarter after training and onboarding period
• You convert 75%+ of referral provider leads into new client service relationships
• You deliver weekly, data driven insights into what is driving sales results and use this analysis to plan your ongoing sales strategy
• Build and nurture relationships with new and established referral providers in the portfolio, ensuring a high level of trust and confidence
• Utilize CRM for planning, scheduling and tracking all daily/weekly/monthly activity

Requirements:

• 5+ years of a proven track record meeting/exceeding revenue targets in outside sales, particularly in senior care services, case management, hospice or healthcare sectors
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and certifications; LPN or RN not required, but can be helpful
• Exceptional consultative selling skills with high empathy and demonstrated ability to develop and close high-quality leads
• Proven success in building brand awareness and developing new leads/pipelines
• Expertise in nurturing positive relationships with referral sources, community partners and ongoing clients to build revenue growth and loyalty
• Able to analyze sales data and develop key metrics to build effective sales strategies
• Highly organized, able to manage ongoing pipelines while consistently developing new leads and meeting deadlines
• Demonstrated experience developing and conducting medium to large group professional presentations

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary of $80,000 plus commissions: OTE $120-150K
