Chief of Staff
Our client is a mission driven organization based in Los Angeles, CA, launched in 1999.
This company provides materials to impact its constituents; and develops innovative educational programming through proprietary technology to engage, inform and empower communities and individuals. Through this education communities may serve, acknowledge, understand, bring to light, and assuage the realities that affect our unhoused population.
We are looking for a Chief of Staff to take the company through an exciting stage of growth and innovation.
This person will collaborate with and closely support the CEO and work alongside key leadership plus outside strategic and tactical leaders, partner organizations, donors and government agency officials amongst others.
The ideal candidate has an empathetic personality and a solid track record of success with an outcome-driven, high ROI mentality and pace.
The role is based in West Los Angeles; we need a dedicated onsite leader to help build and maintain a positive, engaged company culture.
Responsibilities:
The Chief of Staff oversees the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring that it runs efficiently and that all members of the team have what they need to succeed
Act as the right hand to the CEO, coordinating with external service providers to ensure organizational efficiency
Oversee all major events, conferences, and meetings, aligning budgets, vendor contracts, and volunteer efforts to maximize impact and profitability
Develop operational playbooks to streamline planning and execution for all events and programs. Analyzing event P&L’s to assure baseline margins are met to insure positive program outcomes and sustained program viability
Collaborate with program leadership to support strategic initiatives, sponsorships, outreach execution and volunteer engagement to drive community impact
Manage office intern and office volunteer schedules. Work with volunteer leaders to foster long-term involvement, engagement and alignment with organizational goals.
Team with senior staff as part of the launch team of new digital tools and platforms to enhance all of our educational programming
A volunteer mentor of their Historic Youth Council by supporting outreach efforts and operational needs
Oversee administrative, office management functions, including vendor management, Board of Directors support, and compliance with grant processes and organizational policies
Requirements:
Must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or higher
Proven leadership skills in diverse positions and situations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Tech savvy, including desktop, cloud, CRM, and basic AI knowledge
This company is a fully integrated iOS shop and candidate must be conversant and use Apple products to seamlessly integrate with its programs and teams
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks and projects
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
Flexibility to adjust to new strategies, procedures, and tasks as the organization evolves
Collaborative problem solving by seeking input and ideas from others
Salary & Benefits:
Base salary of $80,000 and opportunities for growth
